How to deal with depression and get rid of it

Depression

(Depression is your biggest enemy. kill it or it will kill you)

Depression is when you’re feeling sad, and can’t handle the pressure that comes with looking great all the time. It’s a necessary characteristic of people who are depressed. But that doesn’t mean you have to stand by it. For me, I’ve always had a love for makeup, so in addition to other things I do to cope with depression, I have probably spent several hours in front of the mirror on a daily basis. The technique I often use for my depression is to think of myself as somebody who doesn’t have a hard time wearing makeup. I also often enjoy putting on makeup. If you have any questions, contact my therapist, who can speak to you on your behalf.

Don’t criticize the way you look. Many people spend most of their life criticizing others for things that are out of their control. You're beautiful and unique; it doesn’t take away from that. Love your reflection. You don’t have to spend a lot of money on makeup. I have a phone case that costs me under $12. I’m happy with it. Don’t get cosmetic procedures if you’re depressed.

After talking to my boyfriend, I understand that he’s not against plastic surgery. But I’m a safe person. Most body changes are temporary and always do come down. Cosmetic surgery is the one thing I don’t want to do. For me, getting reconstructive surgery feels as negative as depression. Don’t give up on yourself.

Depression isn’t just a lack of motivation and wants. It’s a feeling you’re having of wanting to give up. This is a sad trait to have, but it happens when you suffer from depression. Life isn’t always an enjoyable time. At times, you can be unhappy with yourself, and that’s okay. It’s possible to feel sad, lonely, or hopeless. So if you want to get over yourself, keep on trying to increase your happiness.

Injure yourself. I don’t know how else to put this. When I’m depressed, I cut my face, but from head to toe. Even in a very happy mood, I’ll reach for a razor and cut my face. No one will notice or care, I’m not that bothered by it. Sometimes, I don’t see the scars that come with that. I cut my face whenever I feel a lack of energy. Sometimes I make a promise to myself to not cut my face after he’s got out. To me, when I feel like having an edge, I use my hands or my fingers to cut. Try to eat healthy foods.

If you have to put on a show or a look that’s beautiful, don’t do it just to impress someone. You look beautiful when you eat natural foods. You don’t need to run on ingredients. Even when I’m already eating organic food and no matter how beautiful it is, I still see myself as a human and not as a model. I prefer eating dishes like beans with or without broth.

Exercise if you can. I try to do exercises to benefit my body. I need to be active to feel better about myself. If I’m depressed, I lose that feeling quickly. Try to make time for yourself. Try to do something new daily. Try a new recipe or help someone needy. Try to do something that makes you happy, that gives you inner satisfaction. I promise to you You will Get rid of your daily depression.

I don’t mean an hour or two, but a couple of hours of yourself each day. You need to be just as focused when talking to someone else. If you want to look good for a business meeting, you have to be thinking clearly. But on the off chance that you need to take a break, you can. Always make time for yourself. Love yourself. When you write every day, you can take pride in not only being an artist but a writer as well. If you can feel that you love yourself, that’s no small feat.

Email me, if you'd like to discuss my experience with this illness.
